Types of Pronouns in hindi: The word that comes in place of a noun in a sentence is called pronoun. We will study types of pronouns in hindi here.

वाक्य में संज्ञा के बदले आये हुए शब्द को Pronoun (सर्वनाम) कहा जाता है। इस लेख में हम सर्वनाम के प्रकारों (Types of Pronouns in hindi) को हिंदी में जानेंगे।

इंग्लिश व्याकरण में शब्दों की 8 प्रजातियाँ है-

Types of Pronouns in hindi​

There are 8 types of pronouns. सर्वनाम के ८ भेद है।
  1. Personal Pronoun (व्यक्तिवाचक सर्वनाम)
  2. Possessive Pronoun (स्वामित्वबोधक सर्वनाम)
  3. Reflexive Pronoun (निजवाचक सर्वनाम)
  4. Relative Pronoun (सम्बन्धवाचक सर्वनाम)
  5. Demonstrative Pronoun (निश्चयवाचक सर्वनाम)
  6. Indefinite Pronoun (अनिश्चयवाचक सर्वनाम)
  7. Interrogative Pronoun (प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम)
  8. Distributive Pronoun (वितरणवाचक सर्वनाम)

1. Personal Pronoun (व्यक्तिवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The Pronoun which denotes any living or non-living object is called Personal pronoun. जो सर्वनाम किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति को दर्शाते है उन्हें Personal Pronoun (व्यक्तिवाचक सर्वनाम) कहा जाता है।

List of Personal Pronouns​

First person – I, me, we, us, ourSecond Person – you, yourThird Person – he, she, it, him, her, they, them

Examples of Personal Pronouns​

  1. I live in Nagpur.
  2. Varun and his mother are going to market.
  3. You have a nice voice.
  4. We had awesome dinner.
  5. He has done his job.

2. Possessive Pronoun (स्वामित्वबोधक सर्वनाम)​

The pronoun which is used to denote ownership is called Possessive Pronoun.

जिस सर्वनाम का प्रयोग अधिकार दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है उसे Possessive Pronoun (स्वामित्वबोधक सर्वनाम) कहते है।

List of Possessive Pronoun​

my, mine, her, yours

Examples of Possessive Pronouns​

  1. This is my car.
  2. This book is hers.
  3. That house is mine.

3. Reflexive Pronoun (निजवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The pronoun which says that an action is done by the subject itself is called Reflexive Pronoun.ऐसा सर्वनाम जो ये बता हो की क्रिया subject ने खुद की है उसे Reflexive Pronoun (निजवाचक सर्वनाम) कहते है।

List of Reflexive Pronoun​

yourself, herself, myself, itself, themselves, ourselves

Examples of Reflexive Pronouns​

  1. You can do it yourself.
  2. I will go myself.
  3. He will call me himself.

4. Relative Pronoun (सम्बन्धवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The pronoun which shows relation between nouns or pronouns is called Relative Pronoun.

जो सर्वनाम सम्बन्ध का बोध कराता हो उसे Relative Pronoun (सम्बन्धवाचक सर्वनाम) कहते है।

  1. I met a man who ran fast.
  2. This is the car that I want.

5. Demonstrative Pronoun (निश्चयवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The pronoun which demonstrates a specific object or person is called Demonstrative Pronoun.

वह सर्वनाम जो वस्तु या स्थिति को सूचित करने के लिए किया जाता है उसे Demonstrative Pronoun (निश्चयवाचक सर्वनाम) कहा जाता है।

List of Demonstrative Pronouns​

this, that, these, those

Examples of Demonstrative Pronoun​

  1. That is forest.
  2. Those are my friends.
  3. This is very cute.
  4. These images are awesome.

6. Indefinite Pronoun (अनिश्चयवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The pronoun from which we cannot get sense of any definite object is called Indefinite Pronoun.

जिस सर्वनाम से किसी निश्चित वस्तु या व्यक्ति का बोध नहीं होता उसे Indefinite Pronoun कहा जाता है।

List of Indefinite Pronoun​

anybody, anyone, none, nobody

Examples of Indefinite Pronoun​

  1. Anybody can prove this.
  2. None is important for me.

7. Interrogative Pronoun (प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The pronoun used to ask questions is called Interrogative Pronoun.

जिस सर्वनाम का उपयोग प्रश्न पूछने के लिए किया जाता है उसे Interrogative Pronoun कहा जाता है।

List of Interrogative Pronouns​

which, who, what, how, when, why

Examples of Interrogative Pronoun​

  1. What is your mother?
  2. Who is your brother?

8. Distributive Pronoun (वितरणवाचक सर्वनाम)​

The words each, either, neither are used as Distributive Pronoun.

each, either , neither इनका प्रयोग Distributive Pronoun के रूप में किया जाता है।

Examples of Distributive Pronoun​

  1. Each person is unique.
  2. Either you or me is going to the party.
  3. Neither of the glasses are full.
